The Second Most Important Service For Window Cleaning

After window cleaning the next service you should offer is screen cleaning, after all it does not make sense to have the windows cleaned and not the screens, if it rains and the screens are not cleaned then all the dirt will wash onto the windows. Sometimes you get people who don’t want you to wash the screens, this is stupid but don’t tell your customers that. Instead try and discourage them by mentioning the fact that if it rains then the dirt will wash onto them. Of course this is only an issue if you charge separately for the screens as people try and save money. I used to charge separately for the screens but now I just include them in my window cleaning service since I raised my prices. The nice thing about offering them for free is that if they don’t like how well a job you do you can always tell them that it was a free service, although I have only had one person ever complain about a screen they thought was not clean enough. When it comes to screens your customers will also ask if you fix screens, this is a service that you should consider offering, although it may not be cost effective for you to fix one or two screens for the amount of money you can charge and the time spent fixing it.
Wiping down the window tracks and sills is the third major service you should offer for your San Diego window cleaning business. When I first started my San Diego window cleaning company I would not wipe the tracks and sills but my customers would ask all the time if I would clean these. I used to charge anywhere from fifty cents to a dollar per track, but now days I include it as a free extra that comes with the price of the window cleaning. Most peoples tracks are not that bad and the ones that are I tell them I have an additional service for tracks that need more then a wipe down. As for the sills that’s pretty basic, just a wipe down as well which is never a big deal but makes them feel like they are getting more for their money.
These three services, window cleaning inside and out, screens, tracks and sills are the bread and butter of your window cleaning business. Of course there are lots of other things window cleaners do. I for example also clean mirrors, glass fences, construction clean up and offer hard water damage repair.
